Thorsmork Natural | 4×4 Minibus Off-Road Tour

Hike among volcanoes, glaciers and the unspoiled nature of Thorsmork

This is an exciting off-road adventure with a small group, by minibus. It’s the only Thorsmork tour in Iceland, to our knowledge, operated on a 4×4 minibus. We visit the Urriðafoss waterfall, then continue south to the Seljalandsfoss where you have the opportunity to walk behind this 60 meter high waterfall.

There will be hiking during this tour. You will need good hiking boots and suitable clothing, so that you can enjoy this mesmerizing location 🙂

LUNCH PACK: You’re welcome to bring your own, or buy it along the way (we’ll make a stop for that).

We drive the 4×4 minibus through rough mountain tracks and cross around 10 rivers on our way to Thorsmork where we will see the marks of previous volcanic eruptions and jökulhlaup (glacial floods) in the Glacier Gígjokull which is an outlet of the glacier and volcano Eyjafjallajökull which erupted in 2010 and disrupted air traffic all over the world. When we get to Thorsmork we will do some hiking around the mountains and enjoy nature.

Contact us if you can’t find availability for your traveling date. We may be able to arrange for an extra departure, if the minimum is met.

REVIEW: “South Coast Tour”

“[…] Because our tour was just two of us, we were free to tailor the tour to our interests and even take some “adventurous” routes to a lighthouse and to a viewpoint high above Reykjavik to see the city at night. Iceland is an special place and being able to be at the places you use for your desktop background was something I’ll never forget. Discover Iceland was top-notch in making your trip as special as the landscape itself.” Continue reading on TripAdvisor…

REVIEW: “South Coast Tour... Fabulous!”

“[…] it is absolutely worth spending the extra money and taking a private tour. Orri was able to take us off roading to some magnificent areas. Truly breathtaking scenery. We were able to stop where and whenever we wanted to take pictures. Orri was a pleasure to talk to and shared his love and knowledge of his beautiful country.” Continue reading on TripAdvisor…
